Scriptures
We believe the holy scriptures were given by God to man through the process of inspiration (2 Tim. 3:16, 2 Pet. 1:21). His inerrant (Ps. 19:7) words have been preserved and will be for all generations (Ps. 12:7). We believe that the thirty-eight Old Testament and twenty-seven New Testament books in the KJV have been accurately translated into the English language. This is the complete Word of God in the English language. The Masoretic Old Testament Hebrew Text and the Textus Receptus New Testament Text should be used in translating to any language for an accurate copy of God’s Word. We believe the Scriptures should be interpreted in their natural, literal sense.
Salvation
We believe that Salvation is the gift of God (Rom. 6:23) brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 7:50, John 5:24, Eph. 2:8-9). Jesus Christ provided the only way of Salvation (John 14:6). We believe that Salvation is eternal (John 6:40, John 10:27-30) and cannot be lost, given up, or taken away (Rom. 8:38+39, 1 Pet. 1:4+5). We do not believe that God’s great grace and gift of Salvation is an excuse to use the liberty He has granted us as a reason to sin freely (Rom. 13:13+14, Gal. 5:13, Titus 2:11-15).
Dispensationalism
We believe that the Scriptures interpreted in their natural, literal sense reveal divinely determined dispensations or rules of life which define man’s responsibilities in successive ages. These dispensations are not ways of salvation, but rather are divinely ordered stewardships by which God directs man according to His purpose. We believe that the Bible displays a progressive working of God to reveal Himself and His promises to His people throughout the Bible by use of time periods known as dispensations (2 Cor. 3:9-18, Gal. 3:13-29, Eph. 1:9+10, Eph. 3:2-12, Col. 1:24-27).
Last Things
We believe that the rapture is imminent, premillennial, pretribulational, and is the blessed hope of the born-again believer (1 Thes. 4:13-18, 1 Thes. 5:1+2, 1 Cor. 15:52, Titus 2:13). Daniel’s seventieth week will occur as Satan works through “The Beast” to deceive millions (Dan. 9:27, Rev. 13:1-8). After the seven years of tribulation, Jesus Himself will physically return to the earth (with the saved), defeating Satan’s armies and setting up His reign on a literal throne for one thousand years (Zech. 14, Matt. 25:31, Rev. 19:11-21, Rev. 20:1-4). Following His reign, Christ will usher in a new heaven, earth, and Jerusalem for all of eternity (Rev. 21).
The Church
We believe that the New Testament church is a local assembly of baptized believers who have voluntarily joined themselves together to carry out the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20, Acts 13:1-4, Acts 14:27). The Establishment and continuance of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament (Matt. 16:18+19, Eph. 2:19-22). We believe in the autonomy of the local church, free of any external authority or control aside from Jesus Christ as the only head (1 Cor. 5:12, Eph. 5:23+24, Col. 1:18, Rev. 2-3). We recognize the ordinance of baptism by immersion in water and the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper as Scriptural commands to be done by and through the local church (Acts 2:41, 1 Cor. 11:23-26). Within the church, God has established the office of a Bishop (Pastor) to watch over the flock and the office of deacons to help in the church (Acts 6:1-7, Acts 20:28, 1 Tim. 3:1-13, Titus 1:5-9, 1 Pet. 5:1-4).
Trinity
We believe in one triune God, perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, and measureless in power. Eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—each co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory. Each having the same attributes and perfection but executing distinct and harmonious offices in the work of redemption. (Gen. 1:26, Deut. 6:4, Matt. 3:16+17, Matt. 28:19, John 1:1-3, John 14:10-20, 2 Cor. 13:14, 1 John 5:7).
God the Father
God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe and His creatures, and directs the events of human history according to His will (Matt. 6:26). Through God the Father, believers receive grace, mercy, peace, and blessings. God the Father also demonstrates a perfect example of father to son relationship by His relationship with God the Son, Jesus Christ (Matt. 11:27, Eph. 1:2+3). The saved are able to experience this wonderful father to son relationship through adoption and be added into God’s family by accepting the gift of Salvation (John 1:12+13, Gal. 3:26, Heb. 12:5-10). God the Father provides an open opportunity to His children to have direct communication with Him (Heb. 4:16).
God the Son
We believe that Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity, God the Son. Christ left His throne in Heaven to be physically conceived by the Holy Spirit’s power and born of the virgin Mary (Isa. 7:14, Isa. 9:6, Luke 1:35, Luke 2:7). He was 100% man while still 100% God. He lived a sinless life on earth (2 Cor. 5:21, Heb. 4:15, 1 Pet. 2:2-24) for the sole purpose of glorifying God in His death on the cross, shedding His perfect blood for the sins of every person (past, present, and future); burial in a tomb for three days and nights; and triumphant resurrection from the chains of death (Phil. 2:5-11). In doing so, He provided the means of salvation for mankind (Rom. 3:24+25, 2 Cor. 5:17-21, Gal. 4:4+5, Eph. 1:7, 1 Pet. 2:24). He now sits on the right hand of God as the mediator between God and man (Acts 2:30-36, Rom. 8:34, 1 Tim. 2:5, Heb. 4: 14, Heb. 9:24, 1 John 2:1+2).
God the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity. Although He has been co-equal and co-existent for all eternity past, the Holy Spirit took up His abode in the world on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4). We believe that He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption (Rom. 8:9-11, 1 Cor. 6:19, 1 Cor. 12:13, Eph. 1:13+14, Eph. 4:30). We believe that the Holy Spirit, as the Chief Agent of inspiration, illumination, and revelation, is the Divine Teacher. As such, He assists believers to understand and appropriate the Scriptures and that it is the privilege and duty of the saved to be filled with the Spirit (Eph. 1:17+18, Eph. 5:18, 1 John 2:27). We believe that the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to every believer (1 Cor. 12:4-11).
Creation
We believe that God created the universe in six literal, 24-hour periods. We reject evolution, the Gap Theory, the Day-Age Theory, and Theistic Evolution as unscriptural theories of origin (Gen. 1-2, Exod. 20:11).
Human Sexuality
We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman (Gen. 2:24, Rom. 7:2+3, Eph. 5:31, 1 Cor. 7:10-13, Heb. 13:4). We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery, and pornography are sinful perversions of God’s gift of sex (Gen. 2:24, Gen. 19:5-13, Gen. 26:8-11, Lev. 18, Rom. 1: 26-29, 1 Cor. 5:1, 1 Cor. 6:9, 1 Thess. 4:3-5,). We believe that God disapproves of and forbids any attempt to alter one’s gender by surgery or appearance (Deut. 22:5, Rom. 1:26-28, 1 Cor. 6:9+10).
Missions
We believe that God has given the church The Great Commission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations (Matt. 28:19-20, Mark 13:10, Mark 16:15, Luke 24:46-48, John 20:21, Acts 1:8). God desires that every person be saved (1 Tim. 2:4, 2 Pet. 3:9). We believe that each person has the free will to choose but it is commanded to the church to go to all the world and share the Gospel (Josh. 24:15, Matt. 28:19-20, Mark 8:34-36, Mark 16:15, Rev. 3:20). As ambassadors of Christ, we must use all available means to go to the foreign nations and not wait for them to come to us (2 Cor. 5:20, Eph. 6:20).
